From web design to live streaming
I founded realmaker in 2003 with the goal of making high-quality media production accessible to smaller companies as well.
I started out as a web designer. I learned HTML, CSS and PHP from the ground up, long before WordPress came to dominate the web. These fundamentals still help me today to judge the possibilities and limits of any technology.
Webcasts followed from 2004 – first audio, then video, at a time when video was barely streamable on the web. I built up webcast production for Sciarc GmbH and have been producing with them ever since. That grew into live streams: today over 1,000 webcasts, from medical symposia to city council meetings.
