Website design & WordPress development.
For the compliance engineering consultancy of Mark Haacke (Lucerne), we redesigned the brand identity and website from scratch and built them as a custom WordPress theme – editorial, clear and fully editable in Gutenberg. Custom post types, a custom training calendar and a WooCommerce shop extended with custom code, with its own product types and price matrix, turn the site into a real sales tool.

Starting point
Mark Haacke combines technical depth and legal understanding – across industries, from automotive and mechanical engineering to medical technology. A subject that needs explaining and calls for a confident, trustworthy presence. The goal was a website that radiates competence, structures complex services clearly and leads prospects specifically to training, consulting and the shop.
Design
We developed an independent, editorial look: a warm off-white as the stage, strong orange as the signal color, and a distinctive serif for the headlines in contrast to a calm, easy-to-read typeface for body text.
The result looks high-end and serious without being stiff – fitting for a consulting field between technology and regulation. Every module – from the hero to the date card – is designed in full rather than assembled from standard building blocks.
Implementation
Design and development came from a single source. Instead of relying on a page builder, we developed a tailor-made WordPress theme – built entirely for the native Gutenberg editor. This keeps the site fast, maintainable and editable by the client without diluting the brand presence.
The real added value comes from the custom-developed functional modules:
- Industry landing pages for six sectors (automotive, mechanical engineering, medical technology, electronics, consumer goods, chemicals) – each with its own intro, key figures and tailored services.
- Custom training calendar with an interactive month view and filters for training type, format, location and duration – dates are highlighted directly in the calendar and linked to registration.
- Extended WooCommerce shop for bookable training courses and service packages – built out beyond the standard with custom code.
- Blog as a technical knowledge hub for visibility and SEO.
Technical highlights
The project went well beyond a classic theme build:
- Custom post types for clean, structured content management (including industries, training courses and dates) – instead of squeezing everything into standard pages.
- Custom WooCommerce product types with a stored price matrix that correctly maps complex service and training offerings.
- Custom-code extensions of the WooCommerce shop to adapt booking logic, presentation and pricing exactly to Mark Haacke’s business logic.
- Custom theme built on Gutenberg – flexible to maintain, without page-builder bloat.
Result
A consistent, scalable brand presence with clear user guidance – from the first impression to the booking. The custom post types and product types make the site future-proof: new industries, dates and training formats can be added in a structured way without breaking the system.
